Application For Funding

The Sea Ranch Foundation's charter limits our support to projects that help our community in specific areas:

"The specific and primary purposes of this corporation are to advance the arts (music, literature, visual arts, dramatic arts, crafts, etc.) for the cultural and aesthetic enjoyment of the community, to facilitate the collection of artifacts relating to the Sea Ranch locale and to support education and the preservation of the natural environment in the north coast area."

The Foundation will consider modest requests, typically for up to $5,000, for grants that aid projects responding to the needs of the coastal community between Stewarts Point and Manchester.

Proposals must be for projects within this north coast area, and must fall into one or more of the following categories:

  • Encouragement of the arts, education, or historic preservation.
  • Preservation of the natural environment.

To submit a request for Foundation assistance, please provide the information requested below, and attach any additional information that would further explain your project. All requests or letters of inquiry should be submitted to the Foundation Treasurer at the address below.

  • Project contact person
  • Describe your project briefly
  • How would this project benefit the community?
  • What is the total cost of the project?
            How much funding are you requesting from the Foundation?
            Where else have you applied for funding?
            Specifically, how would these funds be used?
  • What is the duration of the project?
  • What group is responsible for the project?
  • While being a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or being fiscally sponsored by one is not required, if you are a 501(c)(3), please provide your tax identification number.
  • What resources are already available for the project?
  • How will results of the project be measured?
  • Indicate how you would like to receive the grant funds—in one lump sum to be deposited into a separate account or for us to set up a separate fund on our books from which to pay specific expenses that you forward to us.
  • Preference and timing of when you would like to receive these funds.
  • Please describe how you will publicize this grant such that the public becomes aware of our support for worthy causes in the community.
